COACHING VACANCIES
Over the last few years we have increased the level of coaching at the club by employing paid coaches to work alongside our team of volunteer coaches.
We have now recruited a Director of Rowing to lead the coaching team and a Head Coach to support the Director of Rowing with the adult race squads. We have had a full time Junior Head Coach for a few years.
As the next part of expanding our coaching team we are looking to recruit a Head Development Coach to support the development of adult members who have completed learn to row courses to become members of the club.
This role will be supported by a combination of session coach roles – paid and voluntary.
Our coaching team’s role is to support the club strategy of helping members to achieve their objectives, whether to compete at an international level or have a more enjoyable row down the river. We also continue to welcome members who enjoy rowing and do not necessarily wish to compete.
In order to support our future plans for growth and further development we are always interested in recruiting more number of coaches both voluntary and paid. At the moment these would be session coach roles.
We are looking to recruit to start between early September.
If we identify suitable candidates before this time we will look to make appointments earlier and reserve the right to close applications.
Head Development Coach - Part time mainly weekends, with 1 evening and time for planning/organisation of group. job spec - Salary will be negotiable and will depend on knowledge and previous experience.
Please email the Club Treasurer in the first instance - treasurer@readingrc.com by the closing date of 4th August 2024 - the recruitment will be lead by the Director of Rowing.
We are also recruiting for additional Session coaches for all squads
